NVSP NERPAP

The Election Commission of India has launched the Purification and Authentication Programme of National Electoral Roll in collaboration with C-DAC under the mission mode project for authenticating, purifying and linking Aadhaar with the electoral Roll.

Objective

The objective is to make electoral roll cent percent error free and multiple entries free.

The Objectives of the programme are :
** Linking and authentication of electors’ EPIC data with Aadhaar of UIDAI
** Voluntary disclosure of multiple entries in electoral roll.
** Correction of errors in electoral roll.
** Improvement of image quality of photograph of the elector in electoral Data.

** Allow self Tagging through Web https://nvsp.in/
** Through door to door survey by BLO

Role & Responsibility of BLO

Understanding NERPAP :
AIM :
** NERPAP aims at 100% clean and error free Healthy Authenticated electoral roll.

Objectives :
** Linking with Electoral data base
** Aadhaar number
** Contact info – Mobile no and E mail ID
** Disclosure of Multiple entries by Electors, by submitting Form -7
** Correction of Details of Electoral entries, by submitting Form -8
** Updation of Electors photo, if desired by the elector

Legal provisions which we should be aware;
** Section 17 – No person can register in more than one constituency
** Section18 – Noperson can be registered more than once in any Constituency.
** Section 31 – Making false declaration is punishable with imprisonment up to one year or fine or both
** Section 32 – Breach of official duty in connection with preparation of Electoral Roll- offence punishable with imprisonment upto 2years

What is expected from the Elector? :
** To furnish their Aadhar number
** If Aadhaar is not available then the Enrolment ID (EID )Number
** If EID number is not available the NPR-TIN Number, if known
** To furnish the Contact information
** Mobile number of the self or the family member,
** E-Mail id if available,

For facilitating future communications relating to electoral services.
** Elector shall use this opportunity to locate his name in the latest published roll and verify the correctness of his details in the Electoral Roll
** Disclose his /her multiple entries in Electoral roll , Using Form-7
** Apply for correction of Electoral details, if required, in Form-8,
** Submit recently taken photo, if Photo updation is desired.

How can the Elector furnish the details? :
** Electors on their own can
** By Logging on to National Voters Service Portal (NVSP) of ECI web site.
** Sending SMS form any mobile to 51969
** Send details of Elector name ,His /her EPIC number ,Name as in Aadhaar and Aadhaar Number by E-mail to tnvoteraadhaar [AT] gmail.com

** Furnish thedetails of Elector name , His /her EPIC number ,Name as in Aadhaar and Aadhaar Number by making a call to ‘1950’
** Furnish details to Electoral Officials

** By furnishing details to the BLO, along with a photocopy of both EPIC and Aadhar letter/card. BLO shall record the details in a register and submit to ERO.

Facilitation services Available to the Electors:
** From any place where internet facility is available
** Using the Authorized Browsing centers
** Using the Citizen Service Centers

** Electoral Roll search facility and taking a printout of individual electors details can be made use of
** The required forms can be filled and submitted online
** Acknowledgement printout / tracking of forms disposal status can be verified using the online service
