Bye Election 2017 :

The Election Commission of India vide Press Note bearing No. ECI/PN/2017 dated 9th March, 2017 has announced the schedule for Bye-Election to fill up the clear vacancy in 28- Upper Burtuk Assembly Constituency of Sikkim.

With the announcement of Bye-Election by the Election Commission of India the Model Code of Conduct shall come into force with immediate effect in the East District of Sikkim subject to partial modification as issued vide Commission’s instruction No. 437/INST/2012/CC&BE, dated: 26th April, 2012
