What is Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)?
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is an Indian regional political party in the state of Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry. It was founded by actor-turned-politician Vijay on 2 February 2024. The party is led by its founder Vijay as the president of the party from its date of founding.

My TVK App Membership Drive
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay, on Wednesday (July 30, 2025), launched a mobile app, ‘My TVK’, designed for the enrolment of members.
The party said it aims to enrol two crore members. The app is launched with the theme, ‘Tamil Nadu on a Victory March’. Speaking after launching the app at the party’s headquarters in Panaiyur, Mr. Vijay said the 2026 general elections in Tamil Nadu would be turning point, like the previous big elections of 1967 and 1977.
TVK said the new app simplifies the membership process, allowing one phone number to register up to five individuals. The party also clarified that no one-time password (OTP) will be required for adding members from the general public, a move aimed at reducing barriers and expanding the party’s grassroots reach.
