1) What is Special Intensive Revision?
The Election Commission of India, as per the law is empowered for preparation and revision of Electoral Rolls. To maintain the integrity of the electoral roll, the Commission orders revision of electoral roll before every election or as per requirement.

2) What is the duration of SIR process?
The SIR activity starts from 4th November 2025 and will end-up with publication of Final electoral roll on 07.02.2026.

4) What are the procedures adopted for distribution of Enumeration Form?
(a) The Booth level Officers (BLOs) will visit each house hold and distribute the pre-printed Enumeration forms in duplicate to the existing electors and guide them in filling up the form.
** The electors will have to file the relevant details in the Enumeration forms and the filled in Enumeration form will be collected by the Booth Level Officers during the subsequent visit.
** The Booth level officer will collect the forms and keep one copy of the Enumeration form with him/her and give an acknowledgement of receipt of form on the other copy of Enumeration Form, which is to be retained by the elector.

(b) The Elector can also fill the Enumeration Form online and submit for which provision is provided in the ECI website https://voters.eci.govi.in. An online search facility is available to enable electors to search their details in SIR 2002/2005. Further information on this facility is provided under FAQ No. 7.

c) Booth Level Officers will also provide Form-6 along with declaration form for enrolment of new electors, if required.

d) The Booth Level Officer will make at least 3 visits to the house of each elector.

5) What should I do if I did not receive my Enumeration Form (EF)?
The Enumeration Form will be made available either through Booth Level Officer or it can be accessed from the official website https://voters.eci.gov.in. In case of your absence, the form will be handed over to any adult member of your family.

An elector can also contact the Booth Level Officer either over phone using the contact number of Booth Level Officer available in https://www.erolls.tn.gov.in/blo/ in case he/she has not received the Enumeration Form or through the Book a Call with BLO option which is available in the websitehttps://voters.eci.gov.in

6) What should I do if I am unable to fill the Enumeration form?
During the distribution of Enumeration Form, the Booth Level Officer will guide the elector to fill in the form. In case, if the electors are unable to fill the Enumeration Form even after that, the BLO will assist the electors in filling the form while making subsequent visits to the elector’s house.

7) How do I check whether my name already exists in the Electoral Roll of SIR, 2002/2005?
The details can be retrieved by the voters from the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Tamil Nadu at https://www.elections.tn.gov.in by using the “search by name” or “search by EPIC Number” options available in the search facility of the portal.

Partwise electoral roll data in PDF is also hosted in the site and electors knowing their polling station can search their names in the PDF also. The printed hard copy of Electoral Roll of SIR, 2002/2005 is available with the Booth Level Officer and they will assist to find out your name
