About Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi
Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi follows Ambedkarite ideology. It is our resolve to uplift all the socially, economically and politically deprived groups of this country by taking forward the sociopolitical legacy of Buddha-Kabir-Phule-Shahu-Ambedkar.
Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi believes that India has two cultures or traditions, one of saints promoting equality and humanity, and the other is the Vedic one promoting inequality and exploitation of the masses by a few. These two traditions have always been against each other. Welfare of the deprived groups is only possible through the tradition of saints. In this battle against Vedic tradition, Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi promotes the tradition of saints.
If we look at India’s political reality today, it appears that the political system is completely taken over by a few capitalists and families of certain castes. The deprived, Bahujan groups of the country are not getting any real representation, which remains the root cause of their deprivation. No one disadvantaged group alone can compete with the hold of these capitalists and certain families. Many deprived groups, together, forgetting or resolving mutual differences, can however challenge and break this hegemony.
Towards this purpose, Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi aims to organise all the deprived, Bahujan groups and gain true representation and political power on the strength of their independent identity and independent power. Every step, every decision we take is with the intention of fulfilling this sacred purpose. Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi believes that only on the basis of true representation achieved in this way can the grievances of all the disadvantaged Bahujan groups of the country be eradicated.
