About Tamil Nadu Ilangyar Katchi

The Tamil Nadu Youth Party was formed by a group of young people who truly believed in the people they had never met. That moment was a day that the whole world watched intently. Yes, in 2017, in a great peaceful revolution in Tamil Nadu, the peaceful revolution of the youth, who won a struggle for their needs, their rights, and what was theirs, this Tamil Nadu Youth Party is the expression of an idea that emerged when the ruling class could not celebrate the victory.

This party did not claim the Jallikattu protest as its own. It cannot claim it as its own because it belongs to the entire youth of Tamil Nadu. But, when we celebrate this party that was formed during that struggle, we feel immense joy when we say that it is a party for the entire youth. How this party was formed is that the Jallikattu protest gave us victory.

But, we did not let them taste the fruits of that victory. Instead, as usual, politicians took it and savoured it. They are still enjoying it. They don’t know that people will not continue to believe in false politicians and their false performances. We made a decision that day, because they are in power, they wanted to suppress us.

They wanted to oppress us. They even made us fight to get the rights we need. Should this situation continue like this? Thinking about it, the youth meeting that day decided that we, as a young community, can start a party. This scene is the only party that has been registered without paying a single rupee to anyone, to the extent that Marathatti says.

Also, when we tried to start a party in 2017, when we tried to start a party, we got this party recognition after a year of struggling to get it. The path we have gone through for that is very difficult. Regardless of all that, this youth community that has been traveling with us since then has become a people who have thrown away all their money, position, caste, and religion without any expectations and are traveling with us as people who value humanity.

When will this journey be completed? This journey will be completed the day a young Chief Minister comes to power. Until then, this journey will continue to travel towards its goal without any hindrance and without being influenced by any politics. What we came here for is not to change the regime!
