General Election to the State Legislative Assembly of Bihar, 2015 – Use of EVMs with Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail System (VVPAT)-reg.
In continuation of the Commission’s letter no. 576/3/EVM/2015/SDR-Vol.I dated 21st September, 2015. I am directed to forward herewith the Commission’s
Direction bearing No. 576/3/VVPAT/20 15/SDR- Vol.I dated 22nd September, 2015 specifying the 36 Assembly Constituencies (as per Annexure) of Bihar as the Assembly Constituencies where a printer with a drop box shall be attached to all voting machines being used in the said constituencies for printing paper trail of the vote.
The Direction may be published in the official Gazette of Bihar immediately and two copies of the Gazette may be forwarded to the Commission for its information and record.
2. The above mentioned instructions may be brought to the notice of the Returning Officers of the Constituency concerned for further necessary action.
3. The decision to use VVPAT in the selected assembly constituencies may be given wide publicity.
