Reason For Bye Election :
The Commission has decided to hold bye-election from the 27-Liromoba Assembly (ST) Constituency to fill the casual vacancy caused due to death of Lt Jarbom Gamlin, Ex-Minister vide its press Note No ECI/PN/4/2015 dated 12th January,2015 issued from the Election Commission of India. ** With the announcement of election, the provision of the Model code of conduct for the guidance of Political parties and candidates, announcement of any financial grants in any form or make promises thereof , ban on transfer of officers/ officials connected with conduct of election, etc has come into force with immediate effect in the constituency jurisdiction till completion of election.
** All concerned departments are hereby directed to take note of this for compliance.
** Commission has made it absolutely clear that any violation of model code of conduct will be viewed seriously and necessary action will be taken on each case of violation as deem appropriate.
** The District Election Officer, West Siang District is the Returning Officer for the 27-Liromoba Assembly Constituency.
** Total No of electors in the constituency is 11640, total number of polling station is 54 , percentage of EPIC is 99.83% as per the latest Electoral Roll, 2015.
