He used Madurai in southern Tamil Nadu as the launchpad for his political journey, keeping in with a long tradition of film personalities in the state moving over from the silver screen to politics

Speeches at Party Launch
Kamal Haasan Speeches at Party Launch
** I don’t claim myself as a scientist. But we have come as social service agents. People ask me how will you solve Cauvery issue? People ask me if I can get water. Had there been proper dialogue, we could have gotten what we wanted. You people want water? I can give you blood.. I mean to say I can get Bengaluru people to donate blood, says Kamal. “Don’t burn property and kill each other, we don’t want the violence anymore.”
** “School system, which the govt should run, has been given to private people. But liquor shops which anyone could run is operated by the govt? Where are we headed? All facilities have been made to ensure liquor reaches us in childhood itself.”
** Don’t ask me who is my idol. I like everyone. I like Obama and Chandrababu Naidu. I like Ambedkar and Periyar too
** You had looked at me as a star all along. Now I request you to look at me as a lamp. Light me in all your homes
** The six hands in my flag stands for the six south Indian states
** People ask if I’m left or right. That is why I named my party – Centre
** I will not give Rs 6000 for a vote. Because I don’t have the money. But even if I did, I won’t give it to you
** If we reduce corruption, all of us will get power in our homes
** Good and quality education must reach all sections of society. Games committed in the name of caste will have to be stopped. We will do it
** How much longer will we wait and watch the injustice happening around us? How much longer would we remain dumb and dream of a better place
** I thought I could start the party and begin my campaign step by step. But my friend Kejriwal has started my campaign right away
** This is your party. It’s here to stay, and to make the change we all aspire for. Guide us to serve you
Arvind Kejriwal Speeches at Party Launch
** The people of Tamil Nadu are ready to throw out DMK and AIADMK and bring Kamal Haasan to power
** If you want corruption, vote for DMK and AIADMK. But if you want schools, roads, water, and electricity vote for Kamal Haasan
** In one year, people of Delhi rejected both BJP and Congress and gave us 67 seats. There is so much of energy and hope in the people of Tamil Nadu that I feel that people of the state will break the record of people of Delhi
** I have always been a great fan of Kamal Haasan. The best quality in Kamal is his courage to speak up and fight against injustice and communal forces in the country
